This is my first ever game and I mean ever (except for the Brackey Platformer video) which you will notice lol. This is for the Brackey Game Jam. More levels will be added as long as I have time before the deadline. Being a husband/dad, working 50+ hours a week and being a full time student make it kind of hard to find time to dev some games.

Version 2.1 is up and running. Slight change in level design and a few more levels. Fixed the main menu and level 7 can now be beat. Hopefully you like the changes!

Good job for a first game! I recommend slowly introducing mechanics that cause you to lose a level(maybe spikes, or falling a pit off the screen). You should be really proud of completing and submitting something  :)

Spent the first few seconds trying to figure out how to use the start menu to only hit the arrow key on error to see the lil guy move hahah

short cute and fun!

Yea I probably should have given a warning lol

It's quite nice but too short, you could add more levels, or some replayability.

(+1)

Thanks for playing! I really want to make more levels after the rating period

Try adding time or constraints... Or maybe way to lose a level...

(+2)

I liked the idea, but it's too short. Maybe you can add a time to make it more challenging

(+1)

Yea with how many people have found it fun-ish I would love to find more time and build it out so that people can enjoy it more

(+1)

Interesting concept. I found the invisible walls slightly annoying, but overall I like it. I'd love to see how far you could expand on this, as I think it's a great core to build from.

(+2)

Love the graphics! Would love to see some more sophisticated level design though!

Is Level 7 the last one for now?  Cute graphics/music. What is the connection to the theme?

Level 7 is the last one for now. Found some time to make level 7 winnable but it just sends you to the menu for now.

I'm not sure I understand. Clicking on "Start" doesn't do anything. None of the buttons do. I was trying the embedded web version, maybe it works as intended with the downloaded version... EDIT: Nevermind, I get it now. Really neat concept BTW. Feel like it could use a lot more substance though. If this is your first game, good job!

So you need to use the character to start the game.

Great Game! I would love more levels! I also made my first ever game for this jam check it out if you like!

(+1)

I want to make some more. Still learning how to do level design. Will absolutely check your game out!

Great Game, I like the concept!

(+1)

I kinda like the idea of the game but tbh, the physics is not that good. Makes sense for a 'first game ever', but you can improve next time

(+1)

I liked the redesign, a change i would like to see is the music not restarting every level but other than that (and the scuffed menu) it seems promising.

Also level 7 was too easy please fix

Yea not quite sure why the menu is so jacked up and the levels can be viewed as intended. For music, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong so I'm currently trying to figure that one out lol. Thanks for the inpit!

cool

Very cool and unique concept, but the way invisible wall are used don’t make sense with where the words are. Depending on whether it’s what you want for your game, I would like to see the invisible walls line up to where the text is.

I had reworked it to be more like that but I guess they still aren't correctly lined up. Thanks!

(+2)

Nice concept, good execution. How do I beat lvl 7 tho

(+1)

I'm gonna make some changes. 7 is unbeatable for now. It was supposed to be a little joke.

(+1)

it was a bit brain itching lol. cool idea!

cool concept

it's a good game :)

If you want you can check out my game too

Ill take a look when i get off work

Hey, this is awesome! but I think you should work on your level designs to be more reasonable. At first it was nice and good, and the logic was understandable but then especially in the last level, it got too unreasonable, it was still easy enough to complete the level, but the way the invisible blocks was placed did not make sense to me. it just started to go random. but if you fix that, and polish some things, then it's amazing

(+1)

Yea im still new to everything, especially level design which i really want to work on

(1 edit) (+2)

This is fun!

Hi, it's a good game, but it's small.

Thank you! I want to add more levels but am finding it difficult to find time

(+1)

I found it fun for 2 minutes i played, would require more polish and all but the main takeaway i would give you is to probably make the invisible walls less trial and error and more puzzle solving - like the invisible floors being the actual text

Thank you for the valuable insight!
